Postby unclejedi on Wed Jul 01, 2009 9:57 pm

Just received word from Rogue that they have sent some of their XS 750 mL ceramic swing top bottles via Supreme Beverage to the Class 6 store on Redstone Arsenal. If you know anyone in the military who has access to the Class 6 store on Redstone Arsenal, the following are available:

XS bottles currently on the shelf are
· I2PA
· Imperial Stout
· Imperial Porter
· Old Crustacean Barley Wine
· Imperial YSB

Imperial Pilsner is soon to follow among others

Redstone Arsenal is federal jurisdiction, so the container limits imposed by Alabama law do not apply there.

I just picked up a few of the 750 ml Rogue Ceramic bottles from the Arsenal.
I got the Imperial Porter, Imperial IPA, Imperial Sout, and Old Crustacean Barley Wine.
They are running $14.50 a bottle. They also have four of the Unibroue beers for I believe
around $10.50 a four pack. (Maudite, La Fen Du Monde, Tres Pistolles, and Don De Dieu)
Forgive my spelling. They have Sam Adam's Imperial White and Double Bock as well as
Tommy Knocker, Durango, Eye of the Hawk and a few Mendocinos.

Is this at the PX? If so do you need military id for purchase? I know I can get on base and go over there but my relatives in the army are no longer living. If I can as a civilian, can non-govt workers purchase them...gov't contractors who work on base?

You must be Military or retired Military. I went with a friend from work.
It is not the Px but the shoppette (gas station) that carries all the alcohol on the arsenal.

The shopette/gas station is across the street from the commissary/PX/BK/RFCU area. The current Tire Store used to be the old gas station quite a long time ago.

And Paulie is correct. You might be able to walk in the PX or Commissary, but you'll be asked for your ID card at the check-out and a civilian CAC card won't cut it. Must be active duty or retired military plus their eligible family members.
