1. What are the different price levels of tickets, and what is included with each type of ticket?

There are two tiers of ticket pricing. Tier One covers beer only. It's $26 in advance or $34 at the gate and includes 2 oz samples with 200+ beers to choose from, including some brews you'll only find at the MCBF.

Tier Two is $36 in advance or $44 at the gate and includes everything in Tier One, PLUS unlimited access to food offerings from a variety of Birmingham's independent restaurants, like The Mills at Five Points and The J. Clyde. The complete list of participating restaurants will be available on the Food page of this website once participants are confirmed.

All ticket prices this year include a facility fee for the first time that goes to the Sloss Furnaces Foundation.  And although "at the gate" prices are listed, last year the event sold out in advance and no tickets were available at the gate.  We expect a similar situation this year, so get your tickets early.

4. Your Tickets page states that this is a "family-friendly" event, but there will be a lot of people walking around drinking beer. Is it really ok to bring kids?

Absolutely. People who appreciate quality beer are responsible drinkers and the atmosphere at the event is great. Parents have brought kids in previous years with no complaints. Though we recommend the Saturday afternoon session as the most family-friendly.  Note that no one under the age of 21 will be admitted unless accompanied buy a legal guardian.
