Call of the (American) Wild (Ale)

Folks, we have good reason to believe Riley is making his final decision on our bill today, and we will know the outcome today.

At this point we think he will probably sign it, but we do not know for certain.  And whatever happens, we don’t want to be sitting around a week from now lamenting that we didn’t do everything we possibly could to get his signature.

So, we’re asking you to make one more call.  (334) 242-7100.  Just tell ‘em to please sign HB373 into law.  Let’s meltdown the switchboard this morning as he goes into this decisive day.  Be sure to call this morning.

We’ll soon know whether or not we’ve succeeded.

The lady answer knows that everyone is calling about HB373. You know that they will be ready for this bill to move on so their switchboard can go back to normal operations.

I will see you at The Nook when we get to have one of these great beers finally in the state of Alabama.

Call volume seems to be picking up. Had to try three times to get through due to a busy signal. Let’s see if we can get it up to having to try at least 5-10 times to get through.

The governor’s press office confirmed for a fact that the bill was signed this morning.

    • Ed
      Posted May 22, 2009 at 9:13 am | Permalink

If this is correct great. But the fact is there has been no official announcement and the governor’s office is not confirming this. Until we get official word we ALL need to assume it has not passed and keep up the pressure. So even if you have it from the governors own mouth, lets not post anything to that effect until we hear from Danner or Stuart.

well the twitter site simply has a post that says it was signed and the author is “the web” I dont know who that is but I would like another confirmation before we rest too much here.

But if it is true, I will see you all at the J Clyde in little while
