In Case You Were Wondering

And of course you were wondering, if you didn’t tune in yesterday.

The Senate passed a few sunset bills and then we all got Pooled again. He’s still at it, still preventing normal business in the legislature.

It’s pretty sickening.

Today is committee day, then they’ll reconvene for the last time this week tomorrow at 10am.

Is there anything that “we the people” can do to let the state Senate know that we are furious that some moron with a personal vendetta can halt the functioning of our state government? This is completely ridiculous! Is there anything we can do to get rules like this changed so that the people that represent us can actually get some important work done for our state?

Please feel free to contact your own Senator, but sadly there is relatively little we can do before the election.

In the run up to the elections, we have people in Tuscaloosa who can hopefully let people there know about the problems with Poole.

Wow. The purpose of government is to, you know, govern. It amazes me that we have a *part-time legislature* that apparently calls it a week on Thursday.

Bankers have got nothing on AL state senators. I am glad I’ve moved out of the state to one where real beer is legal (that’d be Virginia).
